...I haven't shared a pub recently and I'm going to be away for a few days. ;)

Some pretty Hero Arts lace...

 A tiny hair tie and necklace (necklace 'string' is made from some jewelry wire) dress up the silhouette. Image was stamped with Versamark, gone over with clear embossing powder, hear embossed, and then stamped and distressed over. I'm pretty proud of myself for getting so inky and techniquey because I usually don't like to get 'dirty' with cards. ;)

Project Thursday {smile}

Hello! I hope you've had a fabulous week so far! I'm here today with a pretty clean and simple card that packs a punch.

I used the stitch stamp from Positive Thoughts to make the little clicking rays - perfect, right? :)

For the camera, I colored it in using an old thick black Sharpie and some Copics for color. And of course, the perfect sentiment for this camera is the 'smile' from the Positive Thoughts - I love the handwriting look of it. :)
Oh, and one more thing about the coloring - I tried using my Memento black marker to color the sticker, but the it bled a bit, so I used my sisters Sakura black outline pen just to draw an even line for the connecting black parts of the camera, and then colored in the rest with an old, super thick and powerful Sharpie. :)

A large gem tops off the camera, and a black cardbase helps to make the few colors really pop!

A note

Just popping in quickly to share a card I made for Papertrey Inks ribbon challenge...

I love this coral color - after neon green and blue, it's probably my fave color. :) And of course, you can never have too many thank you cards - I keep thinking I do, but always find my stash low. Thank you notes seem to have the most demand around this house. ;)

I'm such a procrastinator - I keep meaning to blog about other cards, but I don't like posting a lot when I can't keep up with my bloggy friends post's, but then I spend hours looking at said blogs and others, when I should be commenting and then blogging myself! Ah!
But this week, I'm a changed person.
I am going to blog.
I'm going to comment.
And I'm not going to waste hours looking at pointless and/or pretty stuff!

So there!

Yes, well, now, I'm off to catch some zzzz's so I won't be too tired tomorrow to stay true to my resolutions. ;)

Project Thursday {Cherish Take Two}

Salutations!
I've hope you've had an awesome week so far - I'm excited to have you here as I show you my second take on the 'cherish every moment' stamp!
Like I said in my first post on the blog, this sentiment from Positive Thoughts is awesome for graduation cards, and, as I also mentioned, I need so many in the summer!
So here's my second take on the 'cherish' sentiment, as well on the hearts...

To create this border, I sewed (without thread) down the paper, making sure the holes were very close together so I could rip the edge off like in a real notebook.
Then, I punched holes in the side, cut little slits, and oila! Notebook edge looking border!

Butterflies (representing growth), notebook edge, paperclip, sentiment - everything fits the graduation occasion perfectly! And to make it more appealing to the recipient, you could change up the colors to that of the school colors!

Finally, for the butterflies, I just stamped two hearts together to make wings. You may notice the Positive Thoughts stamp set only has one solid heart, so when using the smaller outline hearts, I just added glue to the inside as well with a paintbrush. Here's a video on how I did the glitter...

I mustashe you a question

....'shave it for later'. You wouldn't believe how many times I've heard this one. ;) My younger brother keeps coming up to me and putting my ponytail right below his nose saying that line.
When I saw an 12x12 patterned paper sheet with mustaches all over it, I had to pick it up and make some cards for some of his friend's with upcoming birthdays.

I don't usually make card sets, but these mustaches were too funny to resist!

My favorite one - it just reminds me of a man with a mustache in a vintage bathing suit...you know what I mean?

All the sentiments typed up and all the striped paper yummy October Afternoon. The mustache paper is by Recollections, Michaels brand, so next time you're in Michaels, be sure to look out for this mustache-tic sheet! (sorry, couldn't help myself ;))
