Project Thursday {Mini Series Week One}

Hi there! Are you ready to join me on a mini series all about mini projects? Awesome! For the next three weeks at least, I'll be showing you some quick, mini projects that are perfect for cheering up a loved one's day!
Up first, a mini card using the adorable checklist stamp from the 'Thanks' stamp set...

This mini card stands at ???, but sure packs a punch! I thought a mini clothespin fit the occasion perfectly, and so I used it to pin down the ribbon and twine.

I decided to check the middle box, but you could certainly use all three! For the tape, I went over some cheap white masking tape with a marker to get my custom color. A fun substitute for washi tape!

Well, that about finishes up my first post in the mini series - what do you think? I'd love to know your thoughts!

Thanks for stopping in with me today!

Project Thursday {Sunshine}

When I first saw the new Thanks stamp set, I knew right away I wanted to make a sunny card with the adorable "sunshine" sentiment. I just adore that font!
A smiley sun and a few die cut clouds later, I came up with this bright little number...

I told you that font was adorable!

Be sure to stop in next week as I start a mini series on mini projects!
Hugs!

Precious Remembrance New Release!

...an adorable Thanks stamp set!

So sweet! Love the handwritten fonts! And my card....

A pretty little butterfly using up some fabric scraps - this handmade embellishment turned out very well for me. :)

The lovely sentiment from the new set....

Some yummy pearls, a dyed doily, and the border stamp...

I made a video for this card, so I'll try and get that up soon. :)
Check the Precious Remembrance blog for more projects using the new stamp set!
God bless!

On the twelfth day...

...happy Epiphany!! Thanks so much for celebrating these twelve days out with me! :) I might extend the deadline, as we got a surprise visit from my sister, her hubby and their sweet little baby a couple days ago, and I wanna spend time with them (i.e. cuddle up with the baby) as much as possible before they have to go back to Texas.

Anywho, my twelfth day card!

I'm not a fan of making handmade embellies, because, well, I'm pretty lazy. But this flower took no time at all! I didn't have a die, but it was so easy to just trace a Making Memories felt flower onto folded over tissue paper and then just cut it out. :)

On the eleventh day...

...some fun in the Fun House collection! Last day before the Epiphany!

Our challenge this month was to define our style, which sounds easy. Thing is, I just can't make up my mind what my style is, as one day I feel shabby chic, and one day I feel clean and simple.

I made this card on a clean and simple day...

I would definitely call this my style...on a clean and simple day, that is. ;)

Oh, and I just wanted to share tidbit on how I adhered my big label and those stars...

I had already popped up my background paper with store pop ups, so I didn't want the label to stand out too much more, but I didn't want it to blend in. So I took some thick chipboard (I usually get it from the backing of a paper pad)...

Cut it to size my paper...

...and adhered it one both sides.

Dimension, but not too much. Can you tell which one is backed up by pop dots, and one by the chipboard?

And for the stars? Sometimes I just don't feel safe using my normal roll-on adhesive for little elements, so I use some Glossy Accents (what I like to call a scrappers super glue) to adhere it.  :)

Thanks for looking and have an awesome day!

On the tenth day...

A mini collage of sorts to share with you today - I was determined to use this sheet of paper from October Afternoon, as I hadn't used it once on a card since I got it last summer, while the rest of my 8x8 pad was cut to pieces. ;)

I was dying some ribbon for a customer order, when I realized how pretty it looked, and decided to make a batch for myself as well. :)

Stamped the little postage die cut - I always feel so clever after adding such tiny details (that probably no one aside from myself will really notice unless I point it out...like I'm doing here ;))

On the ninth day...

..a card made for a challenge quite some time back!

A card I made for Moxie Fab Worlds shimmer spray challenge - I painted the roses with Tattered Angels mist.
Can I say I love this shimmer-spray-coloring idea?
Cause I really do.
(even now, 2013, painting with my Tattered Angel mists is one of my primary sources of coloring)

I also painted the edges of the paper with some pink spray, for a little bit of softness, which you might be able to see.

On the eighth day...

...a new card for the new year!
Made it for the Simon Says Stamp challenge (new pearls), CAS-ual Friday challenge and the 10 Minute Craft Dash challenge...

I didn't think I could do it, but hey, it's the new year! Time to try new things. ;)

And I finished under ten minutes! 9:21, to be precise. I videotaped it, but I'm having problems uploading it, so maybe later. ;)
