Another dreamy card

Getting in one last post for January - the lack of posting recently hasn't been for lack of attention, but the fact that my next post is gonna be my 500th and I've never celebrated a post milestone yet, I wanted to make it special. ;)
This card is for the Constellations: Trendy Star Power Challenge in the Moxie Fab World - I'm actually not crazy about this card, but one of my artsy friends liked it better than some of my other cards I showed her, so I figured I'd post it.

I do love using my Tattered Angels mist's on cards, but I just couldn't get those dang stars to look perfectly imperfectly scattered - you know the feeling?
Also, I'm looking for one good stamp set that has one or two really large sentiments - any suggestions?

Thanks for stopping in!

Papertrey Ink January Blog Hop Challenge

Popping in to join this month's Papertrey Ink blog hop!

...pink! While not my favorite color, I couldn't help but feel my mojo stirred by the pretty pictures!

My card today was inspired by THIS pin...

I can't seem to stop using Mini Blooms for these blog hops, so I apologize ahead of time for that. ;)

Used some Tattered Angels glimmer mist's for the background, and topped the vellum portion of the background with some pretty little gems.

Thanks so much for stopping in!

Purple stuff

Purple really isn't my favorite color to make cards with, but I decided to use up some purple seam binding I had.
This photo is actually about a year old - back in the olden days when I used to tie bows on every. single. card.

I couldn't find a stamp sentiment that I liked for this card, so I just typed one out - it was coming out wonky at first, which annoyed me, then I figured it could work with the rest of the shabby card. ;)

Edges distressed with back of scissors (so I won't dull the blades or cut myself)

Tried a double bow mix with silk and seam binding...still debating on whether I like it or not...

So this post (and several of my past ones) are me trying to be more regular about my posting, like I said in my New Year's post. Hopefully I can work on the commenting part of the 'resolution' over the weekend - till then, have a great day!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes Challenge

I'm a little bit late with the posting of the newest Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge, as school just started and I was helping a friend with orientation this past week.
Anyways, isn't this a gorgeous inspiration piece? I knew right away I wanted to use the adorable elephant from A Little Lovin' and some enamel dots.

Used some Memento markers on the fabric - I had to back the fabric up with some iron-on stiffener sheets, so that I could cut the image without too much fraying.

I'm particularly fond of this card, as I used a bunch of old supplies - just love actually using them up!
Here's the rest of the design team, so you can check out their amazing samples!

That's all for me today - thanks for stopping in and enjoy your Sunday!

Dreams

...it's a dream of mine to post regularly and comment regularly.

According to this card, all I have to do is believe in that, and I will achieve it. ;)

This is for CAS-ual Fridays "In a Word' challenge and the Simon Says Stamp "New" challenge. I used a new-to-me paper company (Carta Bella - oh, I loveee the texture of their papers!), and my word is, obviously, dream. I think I need to dream a little bit more - going with the flow is good, but having a few dreams is a must - kinda like Rapunzel from the film Tangled (this Carta Bella paper totally reminds me of the lantern scene) ;)

I thought just the gold embossing was a little plain, so inspired by THIS pin, I added glitter.

Most of my siblings have gone back to their respective (temporary) homes, and I have about half a week before the chaos of school preparations and school begins. I'll try to keep believing in this "regular blogging" thing, and hopefully I will gain some sort of achievement in that area. ;)

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Amazing

..how quickly break is ending.
My sister and nephew left yesterday, my two brothers will be gone tomorrow, and another brother will leave on Tuesday.
Not something I'm looking forward to, but at the same time, I do want to get this spring semester started so I can (hopefully) get my last Latin course out the way, and be done with language forever! Don't get me wrong, I think people who can speak more than their native language are awesome, but language is something that does NOT come easy to me - the struggle has been real. ;)

Anyways, on to the first card of 2014!
This didn't turn out as stunning as I envisioned, but I got tired of it hanging around my desk, so I stuck some gems on it and called it a card.

I'm just sayin', but the American Crafts glitter tape is like, flippin' awesome. It's relatively new to me, which is why I'm entering this card in this weeks Simon Says Stamp "New" challenge.

That's all for today - thanks so much for stopping in and have a great day!
