Scrappy tag

I promised you I'd be back with a week of Moxie World Fabness, and here I am with (technically) day two!

With the first challenge (sketch) done, we're moving on to the Birthday Tags & Wraps Challenge...

Now that I'm looking at this tag though, I'm thinking I'll add some twine later - kinda looks baldish to me right now. ;)

So, this is kinda a tag AND wrap! I used up some scraps and then some new-to-me stamps, so this was definitely a fun one to whip up!

Thanks for stopping in today and God bless!

Quickly popping in

...to share a card for the Birthday Sketch Challenge in the Moxie Fab World, and the Pretty Pink Posh #22 challenge (it took me 9 min. 26 sec for this one)

Not the best photo, I know, but I really am in a rush - however, I'll be back in a couple days for a week long Moxie Fab World extravaganza inspired by my friend Maureen.

In case you're wondering why the hearts look a little funny, it's because I die cut the hearts from the base, and added some glitter tape inside the card.
Speaking of the inside of the card, I love this sentiment...

Pretty much the reason I got THIS fun Simon Says Stamp set. ;)

Thanks for stopping in and have an awesome weekend!

Project Thursday {scrappy card}

I'm over at the Precious Remembrance blog today with a cool way of using up scraps with the new Journey stamp set!
While you can use any papers you wanted, I chose to use scraps from one paper collection, as it makes it easier for me to know that they coordinate (plus, it's faster!)
Then I just cut them in strips (if the weren't already), adhered them down to some scrap paper, and did some stamping!

To make sure the camera image really popped, I heat embossed it - one little thing I noticed was that if I didn't adhere the papers close enough to each other, then the powder would try getting in the extra space.

Topped the card off with a fun sentiment and some pearls, and oila! A quick and easy card using scraps!

I hope you enjoyed and thanks for stopping in with me today!

Crazy Hello

A very busy card for the Simon Says Stamp & Show (Green), Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes) and the Mixy-Matchy Style Challenge in the Moxie Fab World - I hope I didn't overdo it with the colors, embellishments and textures. ;)

Added a whole bunch of yummieness to that butterfly. ;)

That's it for me today - once I can get my computer fixed, I will be back to commenting! God bless!

Bravo! and review

I'm gonna try to write this post up fast, because my computer has been acting up and keeps randomly shutting itself off after ten minutes or so.

This card here is for Word Art Wednesday (Anything Goes) and the Craft Dash Challenge #21, featuring stars

I just got the adorable Studio Calico wood veneer stars, and had to use them.
This card was finished in 9:39 - I had to do a little heat embossing, which is why this simple looking card took so long. ;)

And the video...

Also, using some fun Stampin' Up! Epic Day washi tape - I talk a bit about it in the video, but a representative from Stampin' Up! contacted me about trying out their What to Washi class. I've never reviewed product on the blog here before (though I've had offers), but I was willing to try this one out! So below is my honest (as in, I wasn't paid to say anything) review ...

I'll admit it, I was mostly excited about the tape - I only had four tapes of washi before (and they were the Target ones you see everywhere) So when they sent me a box with an instructional booklet, the washi tape, cardstock and envelopes, and some stamps, I of course broke out the washi first.
FYI: I don't think the stamps come with the original bundle, and I didn't receive any videos or PDF documents (I think the booklet replaced them for me in this case)
I think this class would be perfect for cardmaking beginners or washi tape newbies, but as I have a bit more experience than a beginner and am already accustomed to washi tape, it didn't provide a whole lot of new ideas for me. However, even though some of the ideas weren't completely fresh for me (though there were a couple really good ones), it still gave me a lot of inspiration for using washi tape more on cards.
So overall, I enjoyed it! And, I super duper love the flower tape from THIS bundle that was included - so sweet!

Well, that's all for today - thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Precious Remembrance {Release Day}

It's release day at Precious Remembrance, revealing one of my favorite PR stamp sets yet!

I totally had Austria in mind when I made this card - my college has an amazing abroad program which I'll {fingers crossed} be partaking in come Fall '14.
While postcards would still be sent, sometimes you want to write a note that isn't meant for all eyes, and this card is flat enough to be mailed without much trouble.

I don't know if you can tell, but I used the sweet star ink splatter image, and clear embossed for a little more interest without a lot of bulk.

Glitter, sequins, embossing, white space - this card may be simple, but for all it's little details, I love it. :)

Would you like to win this set for yourself? Head on over to the Precious Remembrance blog to find out how! You'll also be able to see the amazing cards the rest of the design team has made!

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Another oldy and a video

I have a video today regarding Northridge Media and their publication incentive, so I thought it was only fitting to pair it with a card published with them, and a July issue at that. ;)

So, I wasn't a big fan of this card when I made it, and I'm still not a big fan of it, but whatevs - it'll be nice and easy to mail, and I know someone else will appreciate it more than I do. ;)

Now for the video: I know some people were curious as to what Northridge Media offers as a publication incentive, and to be honest, I'm not 100% sure what it is right now, as they've switched to online only recently (and I did like their glossy print mags :( ). Anyways, the little of what I know is detailed in the video.
Just try to ignore the kinda creepy hand flailing about for the first couple minutes and the stuffy nose - hey, I was sick! ;)

Oh, and I was also messing around with the music option - bear with me as I try to figure out this techy stuff. ;)

Thanks for stopping in today and God bless!

Sick

...of being sick. :(

While I'm confined to my couch and laptop, I figured I may as well post another dusty draft.

'hb2u'...never used this sentiment on a card before as I was always afraid the recipient wouldn't understand it, but I put my fear behind me when I made this...

Some old Basic Grey alpha stickers....

Thanks so much for stopping in and have an awesome day!
