Tag-o-rama // Throwback Thursday

Today is a slightly different project - instead of a card, there are TAGS.
Shocker, I know!
I had so much fun making the first small, texture packed, vintage little tag, published in the CREATE November 2012 pub.
The second and third tags were more of an afterthought haha.

******************************************

Two Christmas tags using these addicting little wod

Super vintagey...

Don't know if you can see the burlap behind all that shtuff. :)

Some pearls, a sticker, twine, and pretty paper...

And then something a little more elegant....

Some little gems...

Glossy Accents on the ornament to make it look more realistic...

And then a CAS modern tag...

Thanks so much for popping in and have a beautiful day!

Noel // Throwback Thursday

Happy Christmas Eve! I don't remember if I shared this pub when it came out, but it was in my draft folders, and I thought it was appropriate for a night before Christmas post.
This card was published in Paper Crafts 2012 Holiday Cards & More Volume 7 issue.

************************************************

Since I didn't have any religious stamps, I used some Christmas cards we hadn't used the previous year.

Mmmm, some pretty silk ribbon!

Thanks so much for stopping in today and I wish you a truly beautiful and blessed Christmas!

Happy Snowman // Throwback Thursday

Yet another CREATE November 2012 pub - this is a trend simply because it's easier to find my holiday cards drafts this way.

****************************************

Kristina Werner style here (I can't think of faux stitching, much less white faux stitching without thinking of her style ;))

A nice ol' grosgrain bow topped off with a button from my mom's button jar...

That's it for me today - enjoy your day and God bless!

Christmas Card Set // Throwback Thursday

This is another CREATE November 2012 pub - this set was fun to make, and could be super easy to mass produce, if you simply substituted patterned paper for the stamped background, and a connected text/script die for the sentiments.

***************************************

These letters were a little tricky to line up - I'm still hoping that one day I'l find the secret to lining up these individual alphabet letter dies perfectly.

Close-up on the stamped part...

All together now...

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Scrappy Card // Throwback Thursday

Today's card was published in an old issue of Paper Crafts and Scrapbooking magazine.

************************************************************

All the patterned paper on this card came from the scrap envelope, and none of them were trimmed at all to fit the card...though I guess you could tell from the overall messiness, couldn't you? ;)
Whatevs. I was in a messy mood, so this was nice to get out of my system.

This was so fun to make, and I felt very pleased with myself that I was able to use up the scraps.

Thanks for popping in today!

Watercolored Embossing // Throwback Thursday

I was just testing out a technique on some watercolor cardstock, and instead of scrapping it, I decided to use  it on a card.

Enjoy Your Day // Throwback Thursday

This card was inspired by a shirt my friend was wearing near the end of last spring semester - I would show you the pic I took, but my old phone is terrible at taking pictures and it didn't turn out very clear.

Thanks so much for stopping in today and God bless!

Die Cut Watercolor // Throwback Thursday

Let's finish out July's Throwback Thursday feature go out with a nice bright pop of color! Some of these Throwback Thursday cards are rather painful for me to share, but I still like this card, two years later. ;)

**************************************
While this is not an outstanding example of orginiality, I still love it - it's even cooler in real life, when you can see the dimension from the negative die cut butterflies.

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Collage Card // Throwback Thursday

It's time to shake this month's current Throwback Thursday lineup of masculine card with  whimsical, fun little card.

This one was fun to make - just putting pretty things together, which is one of my favorite things to do! :)

Thanks for popping in and God bless!

Interactive Masculine Card // Throwback Thursday

My thoughts from around January 2013 (below) are pretty much the same now, looking back on this card.

*************************************

So, I like the color combo of this card, but that teensy sentiment is starting to bug me now.

I'm not gonna lie, the fact that there is nail polish (on the pearls) on this obviously-a-man card kinda tickles me. ;)

Thanks for stopping in today and God bless!

One Layer Wonder // Throwback Thursday

This is one of my favorite masculine cards ever, because a) I have a very short list of masculine cards I've made to pick a favorite from, and b) it's one layer! Love those! Here are my thoughts from around January 2013.

************************

I need to go to bed, and yet, here I am, writing this post.
Wonder of wonders.
Clare up at one in the morning.

However, I shall use the excuse that it's summer and I only have a few weeks left before I have to actually go to bed and get up at reasonable hours. ;)

Anywho, onto the card...

One layer cards are a struggle for me - I mean, they're just so...flat and boring looking when I make them.

But this one - this was fun.
I used the backs of circular stamps with designs for the circles, and used a fun stamp set from Hero Arts for the focal point.

Thanks for popping in and have a great day!

Papertrey Ink // Throwback Thursday

Taking a quick study break for a Throwback Thursday post - this post is circa June 2013.
My thoughts from then:

The bottom border is from the watercolor cardstock pad, that I just trimmed down.

You don't even know how "hip" I felt after making this card.
But for reals.
