Fashionable watercolor flowers

Lately, I've been seeing watercolors pop up all over the place, and I am lovin' it! Most notably, it's been making it's way in the fashion world - just look at this beautiful skirt!

I love watercoloring itself, so I decided to bring that love to my papercrafting with some cards inspired by this gorgeous skirt.
The main things that spoke to me here were the flowers and the colors. Pink. Navy. Green. Can you which particular paper line this is leading me to? I thought so. ;)
Pulling out my Splendor papers, I got busy...

The flowers were created simple by some repeat stamping, cutting, and crinkling - the perfect thing to do while watching tv!

Flowery and colorful, just like the skirt. :) Thanks for stopping in with me!

With three days left

....I should be packing for this Europe trip.

Bah.

I'm such a procrastinator.

Anywho's, you're not here for details on the procrastination, so without further ado (or procrastination)...

The 'road' peels away to reveal the hidden sentiment

- I'm starting to wonder why I did it now, because the card looks so darn cute as is! I used the zipper technique I explained HERE.Oh, and I drew this arrow (and colored in a little too early, as you can tell ;)) since I didn't have an arrow stamp...

A little shine on the windows, as inspired by Jennifer McGuire (congrats on the little one!)

I didn't have the sun or flowers on originally (which you can see in the sentiment picture), but it felt too blank without them (plus the sun is too darn cute - my new favorite stamp!)

Card made for this months Hero Arts contest (interactive cards), and the Simon Says Stamp and Show challenge.

Well, my stomach is telling me to stop procrastinating and eat lunch, so I'm off!
Thanks so much for stopping in today and have an awesome day!

Bonjour!

...how are you today? :)

Today I'm sharing the two cards I made for GCD Studios 'Bonjour' collection for winter CHA (which you've probably already seen ;))

This collection is all about my favorite real life (as opposed to my favorite craft life) colors - green and blue!

Reason I'm posting these cards just now is because I've got some GCD Studios crafty stuff to share with you...

Splendor, Oh Happy Day and Botanique are now available at Scrapbooking.com! I know it's kinda hard to get a hold of this paper, so here's a place you can get it! I also know most of us are on a budget and can't get these and collections just yet, so HERE's a link to a giveaway! I'll be holding one as well for my bloggy friends as soon as I get my next box. ;)

Thanks SO much for your comments - I love hearing from you! :)
Have a blessed day!

Pink+kraft+blue=

...a satisfied me. :) Something about those colors just clicks with me - I always have so much fun making cards with that combo...I think something about them soothes and relaxes me.

Don't know if you can tell, but the 'of you' is embossed here - love Versamark!

Yummy flowers from Viola Mahr...

Found this button in my stash that matched the blue in the gingham perfectly. :)

For the Gingham Challenge at Moxie Fab World, CPS, Little Red Wagon (stitching), Little Darlings (flowers), RRR (feminine), 365 Cards (pink, pearl and paper), SSDS (ribbons and bows) and the ABC DT (graduation) challenges.
Thanks for your sweet comments on my last post - I appreciate them so much! :)
Have a blessed day!

A birthday party

Using a darling image from the Graphics Fairy - love THIS sweet scene. :) Published in the April issue of CARDS (of which my friend Tiffany is the designer of the month for May - woo!)

Using up some OA paper, cutting the die cut at the end using the very helpful technique shown in Ashley's video HERE - thanks Ashley! (I had always wondered how that was done ;))

Sorry for not posting for awhile - I've been having an usually moody (which means I don't feel like blogging) week. I'm not sure if it's due to the stress of preparing for Europe (I'm limited to one carry on and one small suitcase for ten days - and I have to bring camping [i.e. sleeping bag!] supplies!), graduation (officially graduated yesterday), making supper and running my younger brother around this past week (Mom is down in Texas with her first grandson!!!), last volleyball tourney, or possibly just something I needed to get out of my system.

Ack!

All exciting stuff, but happening all at the same time?!
Wow.
I feel out of breath just reading all that. lol.

Anyways, sorry for being so chatty today - I just wanted to share the card with you, and the May issue of the PaperCut - it's SO awesome. I liked the first one, but the second one? LOVE it.

Pics of my nephew coming soon. :)

Oh, and one last thing.

If you haven't gotten (or thought about getting) THIS stamp set, you really should. I've already made five cards with it within the last 36 hours, and me getting one card made in 36 hours is usually an accomplishment. ;)
