hay there!

....what's up? :)

Quickie post today as I've got places to go, things to do! I just thought first I'd let you know that I'm gonna try to get this ol blog-a-roo on some sort of schedule...mostly for my own convenience. ;) It helps when I post those old blog drafts because then I'll remember to maybe submit that card, or when I need a card for a friend, I'll remember that I have the perfect one for the occasion!

Anyways, here is a card made for last weeks Simply Scrapping Crafts challenge - style challenge! Clean and simple, easy peasy.

A cute little E.A.D Designs sticker....

...and a fun Lawn Fawn sentiment....

That's it for me for now - have a blessed day!

Growing and learning

Hey there!
Today I'm going to share a little re-decorating project with you - spicing up a fun (but plain) index card box with some yummlicious Melody Ross papers and embellishments, and then a little video chat in which I show you how I made the index card tabs inside the box. :)
But first, here's that box (my fave color!)

Redecorated...

The tabs inside...

And how I made them....

It's so easy and incredibly fun to jazz little things up like this - try it once - I'm sure you'll love it! :)
Thanks for stoppin' in!

thanks

....a card made for the Paper Smooches Sparks challenge - first time playing with any PS stamps, although these ones are just digital.

The inspiration photo...

As soon as I saw the picture I knew what I wanted to do. The twisted cord, and smooth beads, the colors....so lovely. I think THIS earlier card of mine also helped inspire me - the wrap around string was so fun, so I wanted to try it again.

I originally was going to use colored pearls instead of the flower stamps, but I didn't have the right colors, so this flower stamp it was. I also didn't even have any small white pearls, so I used some old pearl string - it actually worked really well, and helped focus the sentiment. Glossy Accents keep the flowers and pearls in place (it's really hard otherwise to stop them from rolling around)

I wasn't going to have a sentiment (because I wanted it to be birthday themed, and there aren't any free b-day sentiments..yet *hint hint* ;)), but it looked too simple, so I had to go back in and add the sentiment.

Well, that's pretty much it for me today - thanks so much for stopping in!

sending warm fuzzies

....on this chilly day! Brrr! It's cold enough to snow here! Thank goodness the sun is out - I'm not a fan of those sunless, cold, dreary days. ;)
Just sharing a card I made for this months Hero Arts challenge...kinda hard to take a picture of a window card, but here it is....

Some subtle stamping using my new, amazing, fantabulous, wonderful Versamark ink pad - I personally think it should be called Versamagic, the stuff is so amazing!
Oops, someone didn't read (or chose to ignore) the directions that state 'wipe stamp before and after use'. Now I got a bit of gray going on due to the last time I used the stamp...ah well....

Random pearls on trees!

Color blocks were taken from various Hero Arts digital kit 'extras' - never thought I'd use those, but they really came in handy!

Someone also needs to get a new Xcato knife, especially considering this one is so old, I don't even know how old it is!

Well, that's it for me - have a blessed Sunday!

just saying hi

....'long' time, no 'see', right? This past week or two has been one of those weeks where you just don't feel up to very much, crafty or non crafty wise, and so I haven't felt like blogging. However, I got the jolt I needed yesterday when three yummy packages arrived - one of them from Hero Arts! :)

Anyways, here is a card made for this weeks SSC challenge - sorry I posted late! Like I said, just one of those weeks! The challenge is clean and simple, and last weeks was distressing, so two super easy challenges - I'd love to see you play!

I love this color combo, though my sister and mom have some problems with that ribbon. However, the ribbon is my favorite part, so I'm not taking it off. :P
Oh, and the heart? It's got some yummy glossy accents on it - it's all in the details. ;)

Well, have an awesome day and thanks so much for stopping in!

Oh, and a couple GCD Studio things...;)
There's a little contest going on over at the blog - you can win this nice little diddy if you play along...
And if you sign up for the newsletter (just contact them at Inthestudio@gcdstudios.com), you'll see some fabby projects made using the kit! ;)

Aaaaannnddd, there's a new designer on the team - the oh-so-talented Elizabeth Carney! Check out the announcement HERE and welcome her! :)

Hogs and kisses

....{giggle} - isn't that a fun sentiment? (I almost wrote 'pun', but I decided to spare you ;))

Using an adorable sticker from E.A.D Designs, who is the Simply Scrapping Crafts challenge sponsor this month. We have an amazing prize this month - a $35 gift certificate to the E.A.D Designs store! Honestly, if I was allowed to play along, I would! They have the most adorable stickers and rub-ons!

Oh, and before I forget, the winner of the MME pad - Random Org says it is....Lin! Lin, I already have your address, so I'll package up the paper and mail it asap (which, as you know from prior experience, could be awhile! lol)
Hope you all have a lovely day (and some sunshine - the weather is all gloom and doom around here! ;))

My friend

...again!

Just quickly popping in to share a card that was published in the August edition of CARDS...

LOL, I find it so funny that this is the only card that I've ever had accepted for any of the CARDS 'kids' or 'teens' calls since I've started submitting.
Oh, and you may remember seeing it and its non-identical twin in THIS post. :)

Well, like I said, quick post - I got some cleaning to do, than the first volleyball match of the season tonight!! (can you tell I'm excited? ;))

Thanks so much for stopping in!
