...for the sweet comments. :)
I realized how little I've been posting lately, so I thought I should share a little something for the Little Red Wagon challenge (birds).
A little mini card with glittery birds (though it's hard to tell in the pic) using some old patterned paper, and some digi paper.
Martha Stewart glitter...sooooo yummy!
Thanks for stopping in and have a blessed day!

She's back!
Hello!
Thanks for the sweet comments yesterday! Will let you know if I come up with anything! :)
I have some sweet news today - Vinnie Pearce is back, and has a brand new digi kit up for sale at 2Peas! It's called Journey Back, and it is an absolutely gorgeous collection - one of my favorites! And some more sweet news is that it's on sale!
I nearly went crazy when I found out the printer was out of ink after I downloaded this new kit! So now that we finally have color ink, the first card I made with the kit...
I used her elements - I enlarged those adorable little stamps. I knew I would be using them as soon as I saw them, so be prepared to see the other ones on my blog soon. ;)
Instructions: Trim card base and patterned papers. Adhere patterned papers to base, distressing edges with sand paper (my substitute for white ink) and scissors. Adhere doily to papers, and tie bow around base, adding a half pearl to the center of the bow. Print image, cut out, distress with ink, and add to card base using foam squares for dimension. Stamp sentiment, cut out, distress with ink, sandpaper and scissors , and that adhere to clip. Slip clip onto image.
Isn't it "tweet"? ;)
Have a nice weekend and thanks for stopping in!

Hushed purple
Hello all!
Thanks for your comments yesterday - they really keep a blogger going, which, as fellow bloggers, I'm sure you all know. ;)
To answer a few questions; I was in a homeschooling tournament down around Philadelphia, and yes, I do play sports. Sometimes my crafting and playing volleyball (my favorite sport) conflict, which is why I can get way off schedule in blogging.
And my next tournament is May 3rd. Pretty exciting for me. :)
Anyways, here is the card for today, using one of this months SSC Card challenge, which you can view HERE.
I loved my Digi Thinking card so much, I wanted to replicate it with THIS beautiful free digi paper from Vinnie Pearce. I'm usually not a big fan of purple, but when I saw the kit ...{sigh}. And happily, I had some purple ribbon that I had been saving for something like this.
Oh, in case you wondering, the ruffled edge is tissue - a clean tissue. I needed something soft and flowy, and well, tissues kinda fit the description, plus I didn't have any white ribbon. You just gotta work with what you have. ;)
Thanks for stopping in!

Enjoy!
Hello!
I just want to thank you for all those sweet comments you left for me on the last post - I wasn't too crazy about the card, but your comments made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. ;)
Today, I have another card made with Vinnie Pearce's digi paper for this weeks SSC Card challenge (view HERE)...
This fruit reminds me of the fruit bowl we always have sitting on our kitchen counter - yum!
Oh my gosh, LOVE THIS collection! It has almost everything ready for you, all you have to do it add a couple embellishments - perfect for on the go cards!
And didja notice the HA stamp on the side? Another stamp off the list!
Just because I had to add a handmade touch (and because it looked nice), I added a ribbon ruffle border, and placed the focal image of the ATC on top. Added the sentiment, and tied everything off with the bow. Easy peasy!
Just wanted to let you know that I have been having some MAJOR mouse clicking issues, so I won't be a-visiting as often as I'd like.
Thanks for stopping in!

Oh Snap!
Hello!
Sorry I haven't posted lately - I've been having some problems with my mojo...you'll get the full story on that later. ;)
So, when I first found out I was a digi designer for Vinnie Pearce, I went crazy trying to make something right away. Not a good idea. First off, I had never printed digital paper before, though I had admired some designs. Secondly, I didn't know how to get the design to print cleanly. And lastly, it's never a good idea to force yourself to make something.
And so, without further ado, my first design for Vinnie Pearce, from her brand new collection "Toy Box",...
I would love this so much more if I had printed the designs right! But I am feeling much better, and actually, enthusiastic, about the digital paper now that I know how to print it right. :)
That pretty much sums up my mojo lately - fuzzy. ;)
Thanks for stopping in!

For Your Kindness
Hiya!
Here is the news - I am now a digi designer for Vinnie Pearce! If you haven't seen her gorgeous designs yet, check THIS link out. And to see the rest of the designers, go HERE. If you're from the Hero Arts flikr group, you may notice there are three of us (that I know of) on that list! Sue Mcrae, Lucy Abrams and ME! Go Hero Arts! ;)
I didn't have to wait till today to tell you this, but I just thought I'd keep you in suspense. ;)

My second card using her papers (the first one will be seen in a later post)...
And tips for printing digi paper:
I used the "best" quality printing option for my paper, obviously, but the real thing that helped was the paper. I was using just plain white paper first, and it was looking terrible. I didn't want to have to buy specialty paper at Staples, so I looked for a substitute...scrapbooking paper! I used DCWV "Friendly Forest" paper (I didn't use the particular design very often) - the paper is obviously good for ink, as seen from the designs, so I just flipped it over and oila!
The last step is, going to your printing options, print on "specialty paper". I have an HP printer, and the only other options aside from the one mentioned were HP papers.
So, reviewing:
1. Print high quality
2. Use the backside of scrapbook paper
(preferably with a design that has been cleanly printed, so you know that ink goes well on it)
3. Print using the option "specialty paper"
Ta-da! And now I have been won over to the digi side of the scrapbook world!...though of course you'll be seeing other projects without digi paper.
And designed with these challenges in mind; 2S4Y, CCC, Pink Elephant, Caardvarks, EBTKS and Paperplay.

Thanks for popping in, and if you haven't jumped into the digi world yet, I hope I've encouraged you to do so :)
