Project Thursday {star launch}

Hey there! I'm over at the Precious Remembrance blog today with a fun boy card using the Little One stamp set!
It's kinda funny, because I usually have a hard time making any kind of masculine card, and so far every card I've made using this adorable stamp set is boy themed. ;)

I had a fun time using up some skinny strips of cardstock to create a sort of launch pattern in the background - gives an otherwise simple card a little pizzazz. ;)

Sometimes it's fun to let the stitching on cards be a little wonky and not absolutely perfect - adds a bit of charm, I think.

Thanks so much for stopping in with me today!

Throwback Tuesday #11

A scrappy card for today's Throwback Tuesday!

The deets: every Tuesday, I will post a card that has been sitting in the draft closet too long. At the end of each month, I will randomly select a winner from all the valid challenge entries!
The challenge: link up an old papercraft related blog post, card photo, or post one of your old drafts/pictures! An additional entry will be given to those who comment on the Throwback Tuesday posts for that month.
The prize: a big ol' box stuffed with scrapbooking goodies!
Sorry, but due to crazy shipping costs, this challenge is open to the US only!

Thoughts from June '11...

At first I wasn't sure why I had gotten this Sassafras line, but after awhile, I realized it was perfect for those fun, no-frills cards for gals. I know putting buttons and bows on cards is more fun for me, but it seems most people round here like the clean and simple stuff.

I got this small box of flowers by Making Memories at a local discount store, planning have it as a giveaway. But then I accidentally pulled a few out when musing what to put on a card, and then I realized how much fun these were. So, maybe when I go back to the store, if I see another box, I'll pass it on, but this one's mine. :)

And now you can link up your card for a big ol' box of goodies!

Project Thursday {Fuzzy Wuzzy}

"...was a bear; Fuzzy Wuzzy had no hair; Fuzzy Wuzzy wasn't fuzzy...or was he?"
Have you heard the above silly rhyme before? It always tickled me pink when one of my friends said in a super funny voice. ;)
Anyways, I'm blogging over at the Precious Remembrance blog today, and as I was thinking about what in particular I should write about for today's card, that just kinda popped in my head, so I thought I'd just go with the flow. ;)

Meet my Fuzzy Wuzzy...

I used the adorable Little One stamp set to stamp the bear on some fuzzy acetate I had..

You can kinda see the fuzz a little bit better here - this Fuzzy Wuzzy bear actually is fuzzy. ;)

Thanks for stopping in today and I hope you enjoyed my silly post!

Little One

Today I'm popping in for Craft Dash challenge #18, as part of the Precious Remembrance design team.

The way my laptop screen was tilted, the lavender looked kraft, so that's what I used for the card. Then, after I made the card, I looked at the combo again and saw it was lavender...*sigh* But I didn't have enough time to do it again, plus I was pretty darn proud of myself that I even pulled this one out in under ten minutes, so there you are! ;)

I kinda love the little hopping 'motion' ;)

Hope you liked and thanks for stopping in today!
