Throwback Tuesdays

...a new 'feature' here on the blog!
So here's the thing; I have a ton of old cards to post, I'm super bad at blogging during school, I'm worse at getting giveaways started, and, I have a TON of scrapbooking goodies to giveaway!
The solution to these problems?
A little monthly challenge here on the old blog-a-roo.

The deets: every Tuesday, I will post a card that has been sitting in the draft closet too long. At the end of each month, I will randomly select a winner from all the valid challenge entries!
The challenge: link up an old papercraft related blog post, card photo, or post one of your old drafts/pictures! An additional entry will be given to those who comment on the Throwback Tuesday posts for that month.
The prize: a big ol' box stuffed with scrapbooking goodies!

This way, I blog, clean out the draft closet, purge my overwhelming stash, and yinz have a chance to be the lucky recipient of that purging! Win-win!
Along the way, I might chat a bit about how I would alter the card design, so yinz might get a little insight into  my 'design' process (or lack thereof). ;)

So without further ado, the first Throwback Tuesday!

My main problem with this draft is the photography - blech and double blech! This was in the not-so-good-ol days of taking pictures outdoors, even in the freezing cold! This was a particularly murky day, and that, combined with our pathetic, chunky old camera (though I shouldn't be too hard on it, considering the practically ancient one we had before it) made for a pretty nasty picture.
As for the design, it's not my fave, but I think the only way I would've changed it without altering it completely, would be to add a nice brown coconut button. THESE yummy buttons add some nice texture, while the color would tone down the extreme pinkness going on. ;) Ooo, and some actual stitches, whether stamped, drawn or actually sewn - it is a sewing card, after all!

Now it's your turn!

So tell me, what are your thoughts on Throwback Tuesday? Tell me, I'd LOVE to know!
