...I haven't shared a pub recently and I'm going to be away for a few days. ;)
This card was published in the June issue of CARDS magazine...
Some pretty Hero Arts lace...
A tiny hair tie and necklace (necklace 'string' is made from some jewelry wire) dress up the silhouette. Image was stamped with Versamark, gone over with clear embossing powder, hear embossed, and then stamped and distressed over. I'm pretty proud of myself for getting so inky and techniquey because I usually don't like to get 'dirty' with cards. ;)
Thanks so much for the comments over the past few days - I love reading them!
Have a blessed weekend!

Project Thursday {smile}
I used the stitch stamp from Positive Thoughts to make the little clicking rays - perfect, right? :)
For the camera, I colored it in using an old thick black Sharpie and some Copics for color. And of course, the perfect sentiment for this camera is the 'smile' from the Positive Thoughts - I love the handwriting look of it. :)
Oh, and one more thing about the coloring - I tried using my Memento black marker to color the sticker, but the it bled a bit, so I used my sisters Sakura black outline pen just to draw an even line for the connecting black parts of the camera, and then colored in the rest with an old, super thick and powerful Sharpie. :)
A large gem tops off the camera, and a black cardbase helps to make the few colors really pop!
Card for these challenges;
CAS-ual Fridays - Black Card Base - I actually didn't have any black cardstock, only a small piece of black paper that I used to cover my card base, so I hope that's okay!
Papertake - Make Your Own
Thanks for stopping in today! Have a blessed one!

A note
Just popping in quickly to share a card I made for Papertrey Inks ribbon challenge...
I love this coral color - after neon green and blue, it's probably my fave color. :) And of course, you can never have too many thank you cards - I keep thinking I do, but always find my stash low. Thank you notes seem to have the most demand around this house. ;)
I'm such a procrastinator - I keep meaning to blog about other cards, but I don't like posting a lot when I can't keep up with my bloggy friends post's, but then I spend hours looking at said blogs and others, when I should be commenting and then blogging myself! Ah!
But this week, I'm a changed person.
I am going to blog.
I'm going to comment.
And I'm not going to waste hours looking at pointless and/or pretty stuff!
So there!
Yes, well, now, I'm off to catch some zzzz's so I won't be too tired tomorrow to stay true to my resolutions. ;)
Thanks so much for stopping in and have a blessed day!

Project Thursday {Cherish Take Two}
Salutations!
I've hope you've had an awesome week so far - I'm excited to have you here as I show you my second take on the 'cherish every moment' stamp!
Like I said in my first post on the blog, this sentiment from Positive Thoughts is awesome for graduation cards, and, as I also mentioned, I need so many in the summer!
So here's my second take on the 'cherish' sentiment, as well on the hearts...
To create this border, I sewed (without thread) down the paper, making sure the holes were very close together so I could rip the edge off like in a real notebook.
Then, I punched holes in the side, cut little slits, and oila! Notebook edge looking border!
Butterflies (representing growth), notebook edge, paperclip, sentiment - everything fits the graduation occasion perfectly! And to make it more appealing to the recipient, you could change up the colors to that of the school colors!
Finally, for the butterflies, I just stamped two hearts together to make wings. You may notice the Positive Thoughts stamp set only has one solid heart, so when using the smaller outline hearts, I just added glue to the inside as well with a paintbrush. Here's a video on how I did the glitter...

I mustashe you a question
....'shave it for later'. You wouldn't believe how many times I've heard this one. ;) My younger brother keeps coming up to me and putting my ponytail right below his nose saying that line.
When I saw an 12x12 patterned paper sheet with mustaches all over it, I had to pick it up and make some cards for some of his friend's with upcoming birthdays.
I don't usually make card sets, but these mustaches were too funny to resist!
My favorite one - it just reminds me of a man with a mustache in a vintage bathing suit...you know what I mean?
All the sentiments typed up and all the striped paper yummy October Afternoon. The mustache paper is by Recollections, Michaels brand, so next time you're in Michaels, be sure to look out for this mustache-tic sheet! (sorry, couldn't help myself ;))
Cards made for the CAS-ual Fridays stripe challenge and the Simon Says Stamp and Show (anything goes) challenge.
I'll be back tomorrow with an overdue card post for a bloggy friend. :)

Project Thursday {hello}
Hi there! I'm so happy you've joined me again for Project Thursday!
Today I have small, sweet card to share...
Used the adorable hello stamp from Positive Thoughts (is this anyone else's fave sentiment of the set?) and the faux stitching image - this is so perfect when you're worried about the sewing machine sewing right (if you have one), or just because it's so darn easy to use!
Thanks so much for stopping in with me today, and I hope to see you same time next week! :)

Punched the corners with mini hole punch slightly so that the floss could stay in place easily.

Shabby Chic Lawn Fawn
....I just think that shabby chic cards with cartooney like stamps look SO cute, so I had to give it a go with some adorable Lawn Fawn stamps. :)
I started out with a whole doily and frame die cut in the center of the card, with ribbon coming on the side, and patterned paper in the backgound - typical Clare shabby chic card. ;) I don't know if you've noticed, but I feel like I tend to use pretty much the same sketch every time I make a shabby chic card -
....look familiar? ;)
Sometimes I just have to challenge myself NOT to use a familiar layout, and I tried to on this card - though it still looks a lot like the sketch...well, at least I tried. ;)
Made this card for Stamp It! Cards Love Card Challenge in the Moxie Fab World and Lawnscaping's dimension challenge...
Here 'tis my shabby chic Lawn Fawn card. :)
I know my last Lawn Fawn card also used a chocolate milk cow, but I really can't help myself! And no, I won't promise that my next two or three Lawn Fawn cards don't have chocolate milk cows...in fact, I think I could safely promise the opposite. ;)
Wee little hearts drawn in the sentiment using a Copic marker borrowed from my sister.
That's all for me today - I have lots of cleaning to do (Wednesday cleaning day...yuck), blogs to hop to, and various assignments to finish. :)
Thanks so much for stopping in and have a blessed day!

hello
Hi all! I'm excited to start the 'Oh So Fun' week here on the blog! For my inspiration, I got THIS colorful and fun photo...
Um, what's NOT to love here? I had a million ideas floating in my head for this one, but ultimately realized it was the sewing and the chandelier itself that stood out most of me.
With some scraps from the Splendor collection, a bird die, and a plain dollar store note pad screaming 'Decorate me!'...
...I set to work.
First, I die cut a lot of little birdies (perfect project for using up those small paper scraps!) out of some pretty Splendor paper, and sewed 'em right on to the notepad.
Then, I cut out the large bird, and sewed on the top of the pad.
In case you're wondering, I covered up the sewing on the inside with some cute, coordinating washi tape. ;)
Isn't it adorable?
And of course, I couldn't give away something like this without a coordinating card (because I just couldn't resist)...
The set all wrapped up....
....even comes with a coordinating tag! ;)
Oh, and didja notice the stamp on the card? It's from a new set that's being released this month at Precious Remembrance - I love this set!
Thanks for stopping in today, and have a blessed one! :)

Cover girl
...for the front of GCD's July issue of the Paper Cut! Thought that'd catch your eye. ;)
I'd never made 4th of July cards before, so I wasn't sure where to go on the challenge Heidi gave us. Then I thought of all those rustic-y patriotic elements I'm always seeing in my neighbors houses - rusty metal hearts and star hangings, toned down, deep red and blues, and the krafty brown color.
So with that in mind (and determining beforehand I wanted to use some cute clothespins I'd been having trouble working onto a card before), I made these two cards...
Hearts and stars sketched out on the backside of the paper and then cut out....
Strong Glossy Accents (the cardmaker's super glue, in my opinion) holds the clothespins firmly in place.
A typwriter typed up sentiment contributes to the rustic cause (and I didn't really have a choice - I had no patriotic stamps!)
And something I wanted to show you - I am a SUPER messy crafter most of the time. Some proof...
...the sad thing is that this is like a 6.3 on the scale of 1 to 10 on how messy my desk gets - it's a good thing you didn't see the surrounding area though! Lol, it looked like a hurricane just blew through! Though, this was taken before I got the second work surface (an old table), so things have improved. ;)
Btw, if you leave a comment on THIS post, you will be entered to win all of the Oh Happy Day papers!

Project Thursday {Cherish}
....it's my first Project Thursday over at the Precious Remembrance blog - check it out HERE.
For today's card, I chose to use the 'cherish every moment' stamp from this months new release 'Positive Thoughts'. I don't know about you, but I need a lot of graduation cards this time of year, and I thought this sentiment would be perfect for the grad!
My favorite images from the new stamp set are (surprisingly) the little hearts! So cute and whimsical! I stamped the heart from the sentiment 'hi' various times in orange and pink on this fabric tag.
If you're wondering how I stamped that wee heart so many times without stamping the other part of the image (the 'hi'), I'll tell you - I cut my stamp up! (horror music playing)
Actually, this is no biggie with quality stamps like Precious Remembrance - the stamp sticks itself back together really well! In case it's having some problems getting back together (usually due using a particular part of the stamp a lot and not cleaning it between uses - don't ask me how I know), you can just clean it up with some soap and water!
Well, that's it for today - I hoped you enjoyed my first Project Thursday - I hope you stop in again this time next week! :)
Have a blessed day!

Release day!
Today Precious Remembrance reveals the stamp set for July - 'Positive Thoughts'...
Isn't it sweet?
Here's my collagy card using it...
Glossy Accents over the sweet heart...
I've been wanting to use this photo strip sticker and was happy I was able to squeeze it one here. :)
Love the handwritten style of this font - my handwriting is very inconsistent, but sometimes it looks as pretty as this. ;) Due to that inconsistency, I don't write on my cards, so it's nice having a stamp to be consistent for me. ;)
Now head on over to the blog to see the other designers cards with this new set!
