Make Misteaks

...and yes, I know I spelled that incorrectly. ;)

I'm just popping in between studying for finals and Mass this evening with a card for the Simon Says Stamp (anything goes) challenge and the Mama Elephant challenge...

I used the Inline Letters, which I super duper love a lot, to cover up my terrible watercolor mess die cuts. Seriously though, I'll try to update this post later with a picture of the watercolor mess I cut the letters from it is baaaaaaddddd. I know they say it's hard to make watercoloring look bad, but believe you me, I've done it.

Anyways, I think perhaps I make a little too many "misteaks" and that I should treat myself to a quick nap to help me prepare for a late night. ;)
Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Designer Drafts challenge

...I feel like it's been forever since I last posted a SPARKS challenge - this week's one is so fun!

It may look like a tricky one, but if you check out the SPARKS blog, you'll see the AMAZING samples the rest of the design team came up with using it!
For now, here's mine...

I've probably already mentioned it, but I'm pretty much in LOVE with these Quote Tag dies - so. much. fun.

If you wanna check out the rest of the design teams samples in depth, here are the links, all nice and ready for ya!

Savannah

I have a couple projects, a couple finals, one BIG final, and work this week, so no promises on any projects for a few days (though I may just pop in to destress - again, no promises ;))
Also, I know the "read more" option of this blog layout is probably pretty annoying - I'm going to try to make my own website (complete with portfolio and all!) this summer, so if you could bear with me until then. ;)

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Papertrey Ink Blog Hop challenge

For CFC 131 (rule of thirds) and this months Papertrey Ink blog hop...

I had a hard time thinking of a way to interpret this challenge, when this card kinda came out of the blue.

Uses three colors, and this is as close as I can get to embroidered without using any stitched or sewing stamp sets. ;)

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Smile

...only one week left of school (excluding finals and the fact I'm probably taking a summer class) and I'm FREE!

This little card, for the Simon Says Stamp "Keep It Simple" and the Mama Elephant challenge....

...is a little symbol of my excitement to be done. ;)

Question: I can't tell if my eyes are just super tired, it's my computer screen or what, but the photo seems a bit fuzzy to me - anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Anyways, thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Choose happy

....I'm gonna have to keep that in mind in this last stretch of school. ;)
I hope you all had a blessed Easter yesterday - resurrexit sicut dixit! Alleluia! Today I just thought I'd share a springish card, since we don't really send Easter cards.

I was so inspired by THIS photo Heidi posted once...

and this was how my card turned out...

...pretty obvious, right? ;)

Anyways, have a great day and God bless!

Just popping in

...to share some fun news and a small card with you!

I'm designing for Pinkfresh Studio!! Yay! I'm so excited!
Here are the other wickedly talented girls I will be designing along side...

I haven't gotten my hands on any of the fun product from the Studio yet, but here's a card with some wood veneer to give you a taste of what's to come. ;)

One last thing - my brother wrote an excellent article on some Father Brown books by G.K.Chesterton, if you wanna check it out (shameless plug, I know, but it really is a great article!)

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Thinking of You

...on this beautiful, sunshiney day!(in Ohio, anyways ;))

This card is for the CAS-ual Fridays Ovals challenge - the overall shape is oval shaped, so I hope that counts. ;)

Maybe someone who is particular knowledgeable when it comes to inks could tell my why the white pigment ink didn't attract the embossing powder?
But the Distress Ink actually did fairly well on the vellum - I was afraid it would just slip and smear when I tried stamping, but it held it's ground!...er, paper!

So, my sister and my mom weren't as fan of this...kinda disappointing, after all that stamping! Thus, I share it here with you in hopes you will be more merciful and appreciative of the work. ;)

Thanks for stopping in and God bless!

Paper Smooches SPARKS Anything Goes

...popping in with a confetti themed card for this weeks Paper Smooches Sparks Anything Goes...

I used the adorable and super fun Quote Tag dies - seriously, they are so addicting! I also used the Dear Lizzy Lucky Charm paper pad. I wasn't too sure about it when it first came out, but when I found it on clearance awhile back, I decided to give it a chance and fell in love with the patterns. Possibly my favorite Dear Lizzy line yet.

Some pretty sequins for the confetti....

Check out the rest of the design team samples here...
