Get Well

Hiya!

A bright, springish (HINT HINT, SPRING!) card for you today...

I used that same gorgeous DCWV glitter paper for the base and Basic Grey for the bottom layer. Sewed 'em up, tied the ribbon, and added the gemstones. I tell you, those K&Co letters were a PAIN! I wanted them to pop out, so I put chipboard behind them, and they were just not accepting this. Luckily I don't give up so easily, so I MADE them stick! Though I admittedly had to coax them with a little extra adhesive. ;)

 Have a great day, and thanks for stopping by!

Simply Friends

Hello!

Just posting this today so I can squeeze into HA's contest, which is ending today.
A very, very simple card...

{sorry about the poor quality of the photos}

I just used some regular old black pen to make the lines, and used an HA stamp for the sentiment. Then I inserted the brads and tied the bows, but I felt something was missing. So what else to do but use my trusty HA background stamp? ;) I tried my hardest to make the lines parallel with the card, but the stamp does what it does. If you read my blog regularly, you might know that I don't really have control over my stamps. ;)
The best part of this card was that it didn't use any adhesive, on which I am getting desperately low.

Anyways, just a little post like my card. Thanks for stopping in. ;)

Thinking Simple

 Good afternoon!

In an attempt to get my mojo back, I went back to ULTRA simple...I mean, this sketch is probably one of the most used ones. Though I guess that doesn't mean I can't still have fun with it. ;)

This was made for the Moxie Fab floss challenge (yes, another entry because this challenge is so fun;)), and this weeks Simply Scrapping weekly card challenge, which you can view HERE. You will be entered into the monthly drawing, AND there is RAK for this week. So how about popping on over there and having a go? ;)

Looking at the color chart at first, I was like 'Oh no! How am I going to make a card off these colors?!' Well, the light bulb flicked on when I saw this fun DCWV (at least, that's what I'm assuming it is; I got it as part of the DT goodies, and it doesn't have a label on the back) paper (in the center of the card). I used a plain ol' grocery bag instead of kraft (I bet that shows you what kind of budget I have;)), and just layered the paper.  Easy peasy. ;)

Thank you for popping in today!

Any questions?

Hi!

 I finally conquered those Prima rubons and made a card that I am happy with! Though it's probably only because of the joke, not the card itself. ;)

He looks cute, but these Prima rub-ons are tougher to use than they appear....{mysterious music playing}

Inside...

I'm dedicating this to a very dear friend of mine who is always begging for cards, but doesn't seem to have much interest in the "common ones" (i.e. 'thinking of you", "you're in my thoughts" etc etc). So here it is, my first humorous card, going to snail mail its way over to Toledo.

Here are the challenges I was inspired by for this card; Moxie Fab, CCC, Incy Wincy, Lexi's Creations, Papertake Weekly, ASFOS, My Grafico (chipboard inside), Cuttlebug Spot, YNS, Crafty Calender, and Stamp Something

I just want to say thanks to all the lovely gals who left me comments the last few posts when I was being a whiny-baby - you gals are GREAT!

Nutty Birthday

Hey!

I sure hope I find my mojo soon, because I'm getting desperate - I keep making cards, but they're not turning out right. :(
Here's the latest disaster...

cute little bugger though, ain't he?

Inside: have a perfectly nutty birthday

I was going against my inner instincts, doing something that didn't coordinate perfectly, and this is what I end up with. Uck. Last time I go against my instincts. I am happy I got to use this HA stamp again - it goes perfectly with the squirrel, even if the squirrel and sentiment don't go with the rest of the card.

This is for the Simply Scrapping Crafts challenge, as well as the Embellish challenge. I'm almost too ashamed to put my link in with all those other fabulous entries. :( Major downer.
Anyways, (so you don't have to read all day about my "sob" story ;)) the winner of the RAK for my 102nd post is Rosanna! Rosanna, please e-mail me your address so I can send the RAK out.

Thanks for stopping in, and (because I can't resist the urge), have a nutty day! ;)
