Hello all! Today I'm participating in the Hero Arts June 2017 My Monthly Hero Arts blog hop!
I stamped the animals in Distress Oxide inks - this was my first time using them, and after this card, I feel like they should be called Distress Neon inks! They're so bright and bold! For the animals, I used Worn Lipstick, Spiced Marmalade, Broken China and Wilted Violet.
After stamping the animals, I took the new Tribal Prints background, misted it with water, and stamped the watery background onto the animals. After I took the stamp away, it left a cool watermark impression.
I used my ZIG's to color directly onto the second layer image of the lion, misted it lightly with water, and stamped onto watercolor cardstock. To help the ink spread a little more, I misted the stamped image a bit, at an angle, for a looser look.
The supplies included in this months kit:
The kit is available for a limited time only - once it's gone, it's gone. However, you can now subscribe to receive the kit monthly and never miss one!

Hero Arts is giving away one kit as a prize to one blog reader - selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop. (Hero will reimburse the winner if they have already bought the kit) Giveaway closes Sunday, June 11 at 11:59pm, and the winner will be announced the following week.
For my first card today, I used the silhouette images from the main kit to create a super colorful birthday card....
The sentiment was stamped from Birthday Celebration.
Now for my second card today, using the super fun add-on, Color Layering Brave Lion stamp set. This stamp set has so many great little accompanying images as well, like a layered crown and some bows.
For today though, I wanted to make a watercolor lion inspired by one of my best friends, who loves to watercolor. She's a bit colorblind, so most of her projects end up with lots of blue and purple hues, which make for some really neat looking projects!
I used my ZIG's to color directly onto the second layer image of the lion, misted it lightly with water, and stamped onto watercolor cardstock. To help the ink spread a little more, I misted the stamped image a bit, at an angle, for a looser look.
The sentiment is from another great add-on stamp this month, Color Layering Bengal Tigers. I heat embossed the image in gold on black, cut it out and adhered it to the card base. I tied the card off with some gold string, and a mix of purple sequins.
