Step Up Card Set + VIDEO // Hero Arts
Hello all! Today I'm participating in the Hero Arts 2017 Winter Catalog blog hop!
The jar comes from an older Hero Arts set, Winter Scene, and is stamped in Silver.
The trees are stamped in Passion Flower and Soft Lilac for the purples, and Navy for the boy, dog and sentiment. The sentiment comes from a fun new clear set, Poster Christmas Carols.

There are so many awesome new stamps from this release that it was difficult to choose which one to feature, but in the end, the fun and versatile Winter Silhouettes stamp set won.
I made three cards, same design, different color combos, and each a "step up" from the previous.
First off...
The jar comes from an older Hero Arts set, Winter Scene, and is stamped in Silver.
The trees are stamped in Passion Flower and Soft Lilac for the purples, and Navy for the boy, dog and sentiment. The sentiment comes from a fun new clear set, Poster Christmas Carols.
The panel is adhered to an A4 card base, and first one is done! This could be even faster if you have a stamp positioning tool.
For the second card, the same process as the first card is repeated, except using Cotton Candy, Bubblegum, and Grape Juice This one has a little extra something though, in the form of glitter.
I stamped the snow (from the Winter Scene set) using the Essential Glue pad. It's been forever since I've used this, but it's so fun! I have an old video on how to get it to work well, but essentially, you add a little drop of the glue refill onto the pad, squish it around, ink, and stamp!
To make sure the glitter stays on for more than one day, give the glue some time to set and then add the glitter. This will make sure the glitter stays on - I know I have some really old cards where I stamped the glitter, and that glitter is still holding on to this day! The finer the glitter, the better the hold.
Finally, the shaker card...
For this card, you're actually stamping on the card base, instead of the panel. To get the stamped base and die cut panel to align perfectly, first die cut the panel using the Jar die Then use some washi tape to hold in place on the base, and stamp the jar.
The rest of the stamping is per usual, in Cornflower, Dusty Blue, and Charcoal . Some chunky Martha Stewart glitter and clear sequins complete the shaker card and this little card set.

Modern Ami // CardMaker Magazine
Hi all! Today I'm participating in a blog with CardMaker Magazine and CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.
The kind folks at CAS-ual Fridays sent the team some stamps to play with. Today, I used the bold Mon Ami to make a bright, modern card.
I stamped the sentiment in Versamark on some blue scrap paper, and then heat embossed it in white. Two of the corners were punched using a good ol' office hole puncher, and then the sentiment was adhered to the card base. Pretty simple and retro!

I created a pattern by stamping the beautiful bloom in Hero Arts Indigo over a white card base. I then colored the blooms in with a Chameleon pen from the Cool Tones set. I was feeling pretty lazy, so the blending is definitely not as smooth as the markers can be, but I'll chalk the look up to "artsy." ;)

Manly Mangrove // Hero Arts
I realize that it might seem like there is a disturbing lack of card making going on around here, and I'm here today to inform you that that's not the case! Lots of cards get made, but I just forget to post them.
Such as the case with today's card, which was part of the Hero Arts Summer 2017 catalog.
For the card, I started off by stamping the Color Layering Mangrove stamp in its various layers, using Green Hills and Forever Green for the foliage, and Cup O' Joe and Soft Brown for the trunk. There's more little images you can add to the tree, like little creepers, but I opted not to.
Then, for a very subtle touch, I dry embossed a frame on the panel, using the Rectangle Infinity dies. I used a larger rectangle die to then cut the panel out.
The sentiment was stamped in Versamark and heat embossed in white on a black piece of cardstock, and then I die cut it using a die from Number It Stamp and Cut set.
Finally, I adhered the stamped panel down to a Kraft card base that I had stamped in Versamark with the Scribble Bold Prints background stamp.
