Welcome to the Hero Arts Winter 2016 Catalog release blog hop! (whew, that was a mouthful!) Thank you so very much for stopping in today! The new products have been shipping to retailers for a few weeks now, so you may have seen them out and about, but today's hop marks the launch in the Hero Arts online store.
There are so many lovely goodies in the catalog, and today I chose to play with the Peace Stamp and Cut and Holiday Floral Bold Prints.
I just love how delicate the Holiday Floral Bold Prints looks heat embossed! First off is the classic Christmas red...
I embossed the background in white on some gray cardstock, then added a little color with a red ZIG pen. I then die cut my sentiment from some red velvet ribbon shtuff - I'm not really sure where it came from (my mom had it in her Christmas supply stash), but it's the same material used to make the rather cheapy velvet bows, so you could just get one of those to achieve the same look (I also have some similar supplies linked below).
It gives nice, soft, fuzzy feel. ;)
I finished the card off with a heat embossed sentiment on vellum.
For a more wintery feel, I wanted to show you three different variations of the background stamped, because this stamp is really so versatile and beautiful.
It's hard to tell in this photo, so here's the breakdown...
Card #1.
The background for this card stamped first in Versamark, then in Mint Julep, and then heat embossed with some Clear Sparkle embossing powder (I'm pretty much obsessed with this powder).
This card has the sparkle, color and heat embossed look.
Card #2.
This card was stamped simply with Mint Julep.
This card is more subtle than card #1, as it doesn't have the color from the Mint Julep.
