It's been awhile, hasn't it? Things have (unsurprisingly) gotten busy here, but now I've finally found a moment to catch my breath and share another one layer card with you.

Again, for the Hero Arts One Layer challenge, and for the Simon Says Stamp Anything Goes challenge.

I was totally inspired by THIS pin - I used Hero Arts' Two Birds stamp to help me, with a little help from My Happy and the back of two other random stamps for the "blobs", then topped it off simply with enamel dots (thank goodness I had colors that coordinated closely!)

For my projects today, I'm using Neat & Tangled's adorable Sparkle and Shine stamp set! So cute! I also used the Neat & Tangled Pixie Dust sequin mix, and for Pinkfresh Studio, the amazing Peach and Mint washi tape, Way to Home Neutrals Fresh Drops, and Purple Glitter Washi Tape (this stuff is fantastic!)

I would explain what I did here, but I made a video instead!

...and because I had so much fun with this stamp set, here's a second card! I made a quick video for this one too, which you can find HERE.

I added some stickles to the vellum, and then some Wink of Stella to all the stamped grey areas of the card for even MORE sparkle and shine! ;)

...a fun one layer card using three weeny little stamps.

I think I was unconsciously inspired by THIS pin and THIS pin - I really love ombre, but I just have a hard time utilizing it without feeling it doesn't look very unique.

I don't know if this card makes me feel better about being unique, but I threw that caution to the wind, because this was just so fun to make. This card is for the Simon Says Stamp Spots and Dots challenge, and the Hero Arts One-Layer card challenge - I used two wee sentiments from one of my all time Hero Arts favorites, Miss You So Much, and then the ampersand from the Love This stamps.

I used the Studio Calico Color Theory inks - perfect for this generation stamping technique! In case you're new to generation stamping, this is the basic lowdown;

• Stamp sentiment/image once, either on your card or off (depending on what look you're going for - I stamped on the card for today). Then stamp again on the cardstock - the second impression will be lighter, and depending on what ink you're using, you could keep stamping until there ain't no juice left on the stamp.

After many technical difficulties and a lost memory card later, I am finally popping in to share some projects that I have over on the Pinkfresh Studio blog! I hope to upload a video showing the process behind these two later, assuming that darn memory card shows up soon.

For my projects today, I wanted to use the new stamp sets, but in a way that they really shone out and didn't get hidden by any clutter. I also wanted to focus on the & Hello and Delightful Tales stamp sets, as they're my two faves. ;)
So, oila! These one layer cards were born!

Isn't this girl SO sweet? I've always wanted a good little girl stamp! And the frame was created using the & Hello border stamp - all you have to do is create a semi circle by curving the stamp on the clear block (this is why I love my clear stamps) and then stamp twice!

 I went with the ever popular watercolor look for these cards, and to spice it up a bit, I gave both cards a deckle edge. I used Distress Inks to achieve that rather splotchy look.

A happy typewriter

...is there really such a thing? I was gonna say no when the thought first popped in my head, but then I thought of one of my good friends who loves to write, and then looking at this card, I almost wonder.

This card was inspired by two things - THIS super sweet card, and then the exploding flower power thing was inspired by THIS pin.

I'm not quite satisfied with the way the card turned out, so I might give it another go except in purple tones, for my writer friend.
Anyways, this is for the new Hero Arts One Layer challenge - I used a bunch of random sets for the flowers, but I primarily used the Typewriter Notes and Sundrifter: Love This. I also used some new to me Hero Arts ink - honestly, I don't know my inks at ALL, so I don't remember which grey shade I used exactly, but I do love their cube sets - a great way for me to see which colors I like and how I like the ink.
